Adventure Hike

Join us for a fun and informative day trip and learn about Catalina’s past.  We’ll take a shuttle to the historic Airport in the Sky and hike a 2.5 mile loop with incredible vistas and a stop at the soapstone quarry used by the island’s native inhabitants.  We will enjoy a meal  at the Airport DC3 Grill and have time to enjoy the Aviation Exhibit and Nature Center before returning to Avalon on the shuttle.

Includes: interior transportation, hiking permits, bottled water,
and meal at DC3.

Everything changes after dark – the trails, the trees, the entire landscape when the mix of shadows and moonlight take on mysterious personalities. Absorb the peace, stillness and beauty of the trails after sunset as you listen for creatures, gaze up at the stars, and experience the real nightlife of Catalina Island. Guests should bring a light sweater or jacket, wear
comfortable walking shoes and come with a sense of adventure. Howling at the moon is optional, but encouraged. Headlamps are available to borrow, but please bring your own if you have one.
